General Notes:
1.) Quantaray lenses were mostly Sigma produced rebadges made for Ritz Camera. Since they are Sigmas, the older ones have the same compatibility problems like older Sigma originals. Incompatibility issues are noted as "2001 issue".
2.) Quantaray tended to launch different labeled versions based on the same lens. This regards outlining lens features like LDO, Macro, High-Speed etc. (e.g. 4-5.6/70-300), assigning slightly different aperture numbers (e.g. 4.5-5.6/70-210 vs. 4-5.6/70-210) and using different font color schemes (2.8/50 Macro etc. ... see comments). On the other hand they also seemed to tend to take different versions of the OEM and rebadge to one single model (e.g. 4.5-5.6/70-210 again, not sure about Canon EF, but there are at least 2 different Sigma push-pull zooms involved for other AF mounts, and I guess the 3.5-4.5/28-70 will turn out similarly).
3.) One more word about the font color schemes: The scales are always in white, only the names and feature attributes on the front lens ring and outer barrel come in either golden or green letters (front sometimes white as well). And I must admit ... these green ones look damn funky. The Quantaray staff must have been a bunch of surfers from back in the 80s or something. Buy those for your cabinet. But you might want to buy the golden ones to use them, 'cause the funk gets lost when mounted to any of the EOS bodies, even the old school ones.
