Samyang's cine lenses are based on their
still photography lenses, but are optimized for video applications. This includes aperture declicking, relocation of scales to the side of the lenses and follow focus gears. Introduced as 2nd generation line of VDSLR lenses, the CS II/UMC II series additionally are color matched and feature unified gear positions to allow a faster swap of lenses. Although not labeled accordingly, by following the product IDs this T1.5/50 as well as the
T2.2/135 should be manufactured according to the standards of the CS II/UMC II series as well.
