The lens features a design based on the Helios. It was first announced to become an 85mm F1.4. Such a sample was also presented at Photokina in 2014.
The lenses are promoted to be produced in Germany. Globell is not keen to publish any more detail about the production grounds at this point, but according to their staff at Photokina at least some portions of the glass are of russian origin. The main focus of this model is not sharpness, but bokeh quality.
