Additional Information:
The lens is delivered with a big slip-on type metal lens cap.
It is also available as ZF.2 (N/F) and ZS-I (M42). The -I denotes an Industrial version with special dust and moisture sealings. The otherwise -I typical screws to screw-fix aperture and focus positions are not available for the 2.8/15.
Zeiss offers a conversion service to permanently remove the lenshood (250€/340$ plus VAT) in favor of using slot-in filter systems like Cokin X-Pro (130mm), Lee SW-150 or Hitech 165mm Lucroit Holder with the lens (according to Cokin's recommendation not to use the 100mm systems to prevent the risk of vignetting). Zeiss does not offer a screw-on lenshood as replacement (guess it'd be just impossible to use without vignetting), and returns the lens with a screw-on lens cap.
