Additional Information:
The lens received the TIPA Professional Lens Award 2011. It features a focus limiter (full, 2.5m - ∞) and tripod detection and comes with detachable tripod collar Canon Tripod Mount Ring B (W).
Technical Farm offers a cine modification of the Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8L IS II USM by adding an aperture control ring, which solves the problem of iris control with mount adapters not featuring any electronic couplings. Aiming at cinematographers, they also added gears for follow focus etc. to every control ring. The focus mechanism is slightly altered by adding stops at minimum and maximum focus to prevent infinite focus ring rotation. The lenses were launched in 2011. Read Wataru Miyamoto Review.

*There seem to be some minor incompatibilities and dysfunctionalities when using IS lenses with their IS activated with older analog EOS camera models. See EOS Documentation Project for details (slightly different for the 75-300mm F4.0-5.6 IS USM here).
