The lens features a focus limiter, focus preset, tripod detection and a tripod collar. The dedicated Canon Lens Case 600B is optionally available.

The firmware of lenses with SN 880xxxxxxx through 910xxxxxxx can be updated to v1.1.1 (factory service) to enhance the responsiveness for more precise focus adjustment, especially in AI servo mode.
