Century Optics U.S.A. launched an S2000 cine mod of the Canon EF 2.8/300L USM. This modification includes a complete rehousing with cine optimized mechanics, adding a manual aperture ring, an extended focus throw (210°), precision scales on both sides of the lens, focus and iris gears and a support mount for Arri bridgeplates. Only the optics remain made by Canon. You can choose between 2 filter options - double R40.5 or 114mm on the front. The 40.5mm filters only fit APS-C format sensors and will cause vignetting on fullframe, Super 35 and APS-H. The lenses are further compatible with the TeleFX rear filter system (takes 70mm x 45mm filters). The mod comes with Century Universal Mount (exchangeable dedicated mount pieces). Century does not offer a mount dedicated to Canon EF, but as a Canon user you can apply the T mount #0TM-00CT-00 and then adapt to Canon EF. Each lens is delivered in a hardcase.
Technical Specifications for the Century Cine mods: Min. Focus: 305cm | Length: 265.8mm | Front Ring Diameter: 122.9mm | Max. Diameter: 149.86mm | Weight: 3700g
