Additional Information:
The lens features a Kensington Locker. The dedicated Canon Lens Case 300B is optionally available.
For early samples (SN 770xxxxxxx to 841xxxxxxx) a problem with the lenshood is reported. Even if the locking screw is fastened, the lenshood will still rotate too easily (won't fall off though). Canon offers free exchange.
The firmware of lenses with SN 790xxxxxxx through 913xxxxxxx can be updated to v1.1.1 (factory service) to enhance the responsiveness for more precise focus adjustment, especially in AI servo mode.

*There seem to be some minor incompatibilities and dysfunctionalities when using IS lenses with their IS activated with older analog EOS camera models. See EOS Documentation Project for details (slightly different for the 75-300mm F4.0-5.6 IS USM here).
