The lens features Module 0.8 and 0.5 focus gears, 0.5 zoom and 0.4 iris gears and is compatible with Canon Servo Zoom Demand ZSD-300D, Focus Positional Demand FPD-400D and - using a conversion cable - Focus Demand FDJ-P01 units.
IDX offers the C-ZLPRO (released 10.2014), a D-Tap to HR10-10J-12S connector adapter cable (32cm in length) to power the servo unit directly from battery packs like the Endura Duo or Cue series. Specified powering range for the servo unit is 12 - 17V DC.
The lens itself comes with a removable servo drive unit featuring an LCD and adjustable speed sensitivity to control focus, zoom and aperture. The drives are matched by serial number and not swappable between lenses, and they require an external battery.
